Editorial Policy
How we research, write, disclose and correct the content we publish, and where we draw the line on sponsored work and SEO tactics.
Last updated: September 19, 2026
We publish content on our own site and on behalf of clients. This policy sets out the standards we hold that work to, because in publishing and SEO the shortcuts that work this quarter are usually the ones that cost you next year.
1. Accuracy And Sourcing
- Factual claims are checked against primary sources wherever they exist.
- Statistics are attributed and linked to their original source, not to an article quoting it.
- We do not invent statistics, quotes, testimonials, reviews or case study results.
- Where a claim cannot be substantiated, it is removed rather than softened.
- Expert claims are attributed to a named person where the client provides one.
2. Human Authorship And AI Use
Every piece we publish is written and edited by a person who is accountable for its accuracy. Our writers may use AI tools for research assistance, outlining, or generating early ideas, in the same way they use a search engine or a thesaurus. What we do not do is publish unedited machine output, pass off generated text as expert testimony, or scale content production by removing the human from the process. If you ask how a specific piece was produced, we will tell you plainly.
3. Sponsored Content And Disclosure
Paid placements, sponsored articles, affiliate arrangements and any content where money or value changed hands for its publication are disclosed clearly and prominently, in line with Federal Trade Commission guidance. Disclosure appears where a reader will see it before reading, not buried in a footer. We will not place content designed to look like independent editorial when it is paid, and we will decline work that requires hiding a material connection.
4. Testimonials And Results
Any testimonial, review or client result we publish reflects a real client and a real outcome. Results described are specific to that client and are not a promise of similar outcomes for anyone else. We do not write fake reviews, incentivize reviews in exchange for a positive rating, or suppress negative feedback, and we advise clients against all three.
5. SEO Ethics
- No paid link schemes, link farms or private blog networks.
- No cloaking, doorway pages, hidden text or deceptive redirects.
- No scraped, spun or duplicated content.
- No manipulation of reviews, ratings or engagement metrics.
- No keyword stuffing at the expense of readability.
- We follow search engine webmaster guidelines, and where a tactic would violate them we will say no, even when a client asks.
6. Corrections
When we get something wrong we correct it. Material corrections on our own site are noted on the page with the date of the update. For client content we notify the client promptly, correct the published piece and, where the error was distributed further, work to correct it at those outlets too. Report an error to support@mediahype.site and we will respond within two business days.
7. Editorial Independence In Reporting
Our performance reporting shows what happened, including months where results were flat or negative. We do not cherry pick metrics, change attribution windows to flatter a campaign, or hide a decline behind a chart of something unrelated.
8. Client Content Approval
Clients review and approve content before publication. Where a client asks us to publish a claim we believe is inaccurate, misleading or non compliant with advertising rules for their industry, we will raise it in writing. If they insist, we may decline to produce or publish that specific piece. Responsibility for claims about a client's own products and services rests with the client.
9. Regulated Industries
Content for legal, medical, financial and other regulated sectors is written with the disclosure and substantiation requirements of those sectors in mind. We are not a substitute for your compliance counsel, and we recommend regulated clients have their own review process for published claims.
